Call for submissions/Wiesbaden Photo Days 2007

The 5^th Wiesbaden Photo days chose “EGO – Photographic explorations of the Self” as
their motto. They will take place from September 15^th through October 7^th 2007.
For the first time the Photo days will award a prize for contemporary photography in the
amount of 2000€ thanks to our sponsor Wiesbaden Volksbank.

We are expecting entries that exhibit images of people in their biographical context.
At the core are questions of individual identity and the social image of human beings.

We shall consider entries stressing art photography as well as documentary approaches
and mixed forms. Content that transcends traditional photographic positions will be greatly appreciated.

The Wiesbaden photo days take place every two years. Numerous galleries and museumsof Wiesbaden participate in the photo days. In 2007 there will be more exhibitions thanever before and the exhibition venues are spread far throughout the city of Wiesbaden.
The exhibition sites are connected by the City Bus Route No. 1. In addition to the
exhibitions there will be an extensive support program such as Wiesbaden’s art house cinema “Caligari” showing “photo-films” for instance.

Photographers may submit their work through May 2007. Nevertheless we would
appreciate to get your work as soon as possible!
Requirements for participation:
Photo series or portfolios have to consist of a minimum of 5 photos and a maximum of 15
photos. Please do not submit original photographs. The photos should be handed in as
CD (1.000 x 1.000 pixel maximum or 300 DPI) or good prints.
Please do not forget to include a brief letter with your address, a short biography and
details of the photo work. We regret that we will not be able to return the material you
submitted.
